I’m also a photography student. the 13in is definitely nice since it’s lighter/more portable, but I find the screen way too small to work on, especially if you’re doing a lot of editing. I personally have the 15in with a 2.4GHz and 4gb of memory and find that it works fine. Some programs (depending on how many you have open/what you’re trying to do) may run a little slower, but I don’t mind at all. I’d say get an extra display if you have the extra cash, that way you can have your tools on one screen and your image alone on the display which would be larger/easier to edit on. Also, invest in an external hard-drive and back-up regularly, they are worth the $120.00. The 15in isn’t bad to carry around either. Sometimes it can be a pain when you’re trying to carry your laptop, books, binders, and camera, etc at once, but that’s just life haha. I have the anti-glare screen and love it! Although they do warn you though that some of the colors aren’t as true to nature if you get the anti-glare. I don’t find a big difference at all though.
